@godspeed9601 i almost forgot to ask, are 4 cylinders cheaper to build than 8 cylinders? I know parts for civics are cheap but how about evo's and sti's? are they cheaper to fully build than a mustag or camaro?
-
@godspeed9601 i dont think v6's are that bad..the nissan 350 and 370z are badass cars in my opinion.
-
@sergsrt8 Just V6's. Seems like regardless of the make, they're not a dependable motor. Plus, they don't really produce the power you would expect from a 6 cylinder. As for the 2JZ, I'm fairly impressed with the performance out of inline motors.
-
@godspeed9601 Do u hate 6 cylinders in general or just V6's...how about the 2jz?
-
@sergsrt8 This is true. I don't know about you, but I hate all V6 engines. Domestic or import, they are all pieces of junk, lol. But still, Honda comes out on top. Compare the Accord J30A V6 and the Camaro LB8 V6:
Honda J30A stock - 1.0935hp/1cid
Chevy LB8 stock - 0.7901hp/1cid

@godspeed9601 It is impressive but dont forget, its only a 2L. Why does honda's 6 cylinder only make 270hp? It should make around 350hp if u compare it to the 4 bangers.

@sergsrt8 Most powerful Natural Aspirated LS1 motor ever made on record is by Mike Kleman. It's bored, has heads, cams, 13:1 compression, etc., and runs race gas. It is producing 538hp at 6,350rpm. This motor is 436 cid.
The Acura Integra B18B1 non-vtec motor completely stock is producing 142hp. This motor is 1,834cc or 111.91 cid.
Mike's LS1 - 1.2339hp/1cid
Honda B18B1 stock - 1.2687hp/1cid

@godspeed9601 I could make a 4.0 v8 produce 460whp...the reason why this 2.0 makes 230whp is because it's built. You are comparing a built 2.0 vs a factory stock v8, which by the way are very restrictive. You could get over 100whp just by adding heads and a cam on an ls1 camaro..and its still a 5.7. Imagine what you could get out of it by adding new pistons, rods, crank, valves...etc. The only thing i hate about a 4 cylinder is that the car needs to be light to make it move because of P/W ratio
-
@sergsrt8 Get a V8 lol, please. A 2.0L four cylinder is equivalent to a 4.0L V8 or a 244 CID V8. How many V8's have you come across in your time that are that size and putting out 460hp? Don't get me wrong, I've got a 1954 Ford pickup with a 289 that I completely rebuild myself, but I've got a lot of respect for how efficient those Honda four cylinders can be. In the power per displacement battle, imports make American muscle look like a turd.

wait... how????... my ek hatch has 250 n im running 13s..... grrr whats ur secret...lol
FUCK MUSCLE CARS.. IMPORT ALL DAY....

for all of you hating on this vid is plain stupid.First off if you understand power to weight ratio and how it plays a vital role in making a car move. You will know that a 230 to the wheel is pretty quick and can keep up with higher class cars with bigger motors.
