When I was a kid I used to look forward to watching this on Top of the Pops (Did it get to number 1?)

The funny thing was I used to believe the squad flew back to London from Mexico to perform it live on the programme, and fly back again to continue with the WC campaign!

How innocent; kids today probably wonder how todays footballers fit in playing the game with all the spit roasting and bar fighting their 'heroes' are also involved in.

Bobby Moore,so I say Sir Bobby Moore is a Legend, always was and always will be.
In todays game he would command a transfer fee of at least £25million.
New age fans can say what they like, since 1966 we have been involved in 7 world cups and looks like it will be 8 nxt yr and have had 6 diff captains and still no Englishman has lifted the Jules Rimet trophy.
The guy was simply a LEGEND

Who gives a monkey's HOW many times someone plays for their country. It's not an indicator of anything really.
Anyway, football is a different game now..it's like comparing two different sports.
