Chapter 3!
After what seemed like the longest drive of my life we finally arrived. I looked up at the place Kevin was marrying Danielle. My mouth dropped. It was literally a castle. Wow. My family and I started walking in. With each step towards the door my heart started to pound more and more. I kept telling myself to be strong, act like nothing happened. Suddenly the doors swung open. I quickly looked up, hoping it wasn't my past love. I let out a sigh of relief when I saw his brother step out.
"JOE!" I screamed, shocking everyone including myself. I missed him so much. He was always like the brother I never had. When he was in the room there was never a dull moment. He looked up at us and his eyes grew wide as his lips turned into an excited smile. He jetted toward us and picked up my sister, Hannah. He spun her around a few times before setting her feet back on the ground. Joe and Hannah were always close growing up .. like Nick and me .. except they never dated. Probably what should have happened between Nick and I...
As Joe put Hannah down he looked over at me. His eyes got wide for the second time that day. "CAS!" He said in a shocked and excited voice. "Oh my gosh! You got so big! You're beautiful!" He said while picking me up in a hug.
"I've missed you, Joe." I said as he put me down.
"I've missed you too kiddo." He smiled at me. Joe was a goofball. Everyone always thought him and Hannah would wind up together. I secretely want them to, minus the broken heart of course. Joe greeted my parents before it was time to enter the castle. As we stepped into the enormous building my eyes got wide and my worries dissapeared, but only for a moment. When I walked into the castle there was a huge staircase that has two ends and met in the middle of the second floor. It was very elligant and open. I couldn't believe Kevin was getting married in a place like this. It's unbelievable.
"Wow.." I thought out loud as I took in my surroundings. I looked over at my parents and Hannah to see them with the same expression as me. I looked to my left and saw Joe just standing there watching our reactions.
"So where is everyone?" I asked, mainly talking about that one person who will always be special to me.
"My parents are in a room waiting for the ceremony to start and Kevin, Nick, and Frankie are in the grooms room trying to calm Kevin down." He said.
"Why aren't you with them?" I asked a bit confused.
"Because I was on my way outside to look for my Uncle Josh but instead I found you guys!" He stated with a slight smile. "I should probably get back to looking for him. He's in the wedding and the ceremony is gonna start shortly." He looked over to my parents, "You guys should go find a seat. I'll see you later!" Joe walked back outside looking for his Uncle. My family and I walked to the room where the ceremony was taking place. For a few minutes I felt relieved that I didn't have to face Nick until the reception, but then I realized that that would come faster than I hoped. I shook my nerves away and helped my family look for a seat. We wound up sitting about 8 rows from the front. Of course, on the grooms side. After sitting for about 5 minutes, a girl stood at the end of our row, right where I was sitting.
