The new trailer for the classic 1974 H.B. Halicki ode to vehicular destruction "Gone in 60 Seconds". Don't even THINK about mentioning that crap remake.

Fuck. This movie was the shit but its been years since Ive seen it. The best part was when he destroyed the Cadillac dealership.

However, I will add this. I hate the redubbed music in the re-release of the original. The songs and music of the time it was released adds to the 70's cult classic it has always been.

Still one of the all time best. It was campy, but great because of all of the real people playing themselves. The police equipment were realistic, not cheap Hollywood knockoff prop cars, real crashes, and the flashbacks to the crashes already caused were interesting as well. The remake? Forgetaboutit!!! Digital car jumps, and the same canned crappy car stunts we have all seen a million times? Eleanor lives!

Just remember that the chase scene was shot WITHOUT permission - guerilla style, and the crash where Elanor spins around was NOT part of the plan - but they kept it and continued the chase. Imagine they outcry (and news helicopter footage of the cops chasing) if that were to be tried on surface streets these days!

the people saying that the GI60S remake had a better story are like people who complain about character development in a Steven Segal movie... here`s a hint... you don`t go to genre movies for the plot, numbskulls. the original was and always will be a b movie with amazing stunts.

Could anyone please tell me how the first song is called, I mean when the police officer drives in his , I think Cadilac, with that many sunglases on the panel???,
