I have used the V1U in three different projects now and no sound issues so far. I have used the lapel mic. on board mic and a wireless mic. Even with the on board mic interviewing someone in a crowd the sound came out clear.

The Field Type when you export, should be progressive.. so you dont have these horizontical lines when a subject moves

How is the still frame capabilities of this? I tried freezing the frames and a lot frames with movement came out blurry. I know this is an old upload so it may or may not reflect the true capabilities. Looking for something with good still frame capture in HD.

@mjrei Thanks :)! I used Adobe After Effects CS5 and for the render I used Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.

For filming 24p your footage looks interlaced.
you are not professional why is the video not HD?????

@TheExplosivePictures Uhhh. Well first, thanks for the positive comment. To respond: This was uploaded over 3 years ago when youtube limited the size of the file you could upload (pre HD days). So it was shot in HD but you are right, this isn't HD because youtube didn't support HD at the time. The V1U is a great camera but, I agree, this video (due to youtube limitations at the time) isn't necessarily the best evidence of that. Happy now?

@TheExplosivePictures : After your comment I went and checked out your videos. I have to say, nice looking stuff. Seriously, you've got the look thing down. Special effects as well. (I haven't uploaded much since youtube went HD--maybe nothing. Anyway your results from the HVR HD1000E are outstanding.) Last, what editing suite are you using with CS5 and your other plug-ins?

@PARRAVISION : This was uploaded over 3 years ago when youtube limited the size of video and pre-HD days. It was shot in HD but the uploaded file had to be under 10mb. So the original footage obviously looks considerably different. Hope that helps clarify.
