I have PTSD. Sexual abuse/assault, physical and emotional abuse, gross neglect... It's hell. I lost just about everything I cared about. I finally started therapy two-and-a-half years ago, and I'm starting to show some real improvement. Being off antidepressants... I haven't felt happier or more proud in a long time.

It's unfortunate you feel that way. Denying that PTSD is a problem helps no one. Every branch of the military, as well as the VA, acknowledges it is real and constitutes a major and growing problem for returning troops. While you were able to move on after your service but a certain proportion of veterans cannot.

A very effective way to deal with PTSD, Depression, Substance Abuse, Bipolar, Autism and other afflictions of this type is binaural audio technology. Check my website for more information (on my channel), not only is it what's helped me to overcome depression, but my participants love it as well. I certainly support other forms of therapy such as EFT, CBT, EMDR and others, but binaural audio technology is a very strong foundation for healing. Medication only addresses the symptoms in my opinion.

Do all victims of PTSD experience flashbacks? My ex girlfriend suffered from a serious disorder that had all of the symptoms described in this video, except the flashbacks.

hence.. heavvy drinking ..drug cultures .. think maybe society is set up to condition young athletic people to join the military../not many forms of employment where person can be physically active and use minds among others outwardly / set up to push people into joined the military to ensure people for wars etc. people find themselves afterwards trapped in society that is against this nature..being highly controlled in many psychological ways. .thinking out loud.. cant put into right words :)

wondering if common problem is when people move from one form of conditioning to another form of conditioning with ptsd symptoms..find themselves isolated or having to avoid people through not being able to be understood..which leaves people in impossible situation...almost like lack of middle ground socially ,physically and mentally for people to improve and repair themselves with. only so many outlets or combinations of treatments available...maybe entire societies can have form of ptsd...

just thought mention.. keep active and well exercised is best help for me. social isolation and lack of understanding active friends can be harmful...a game of football.. swimming is good one..still can be form of isolation..for me to be able to exercise playing football sports can help exercise and build cognition up with others around you. not sure where going here with this..
