Hotel Axis Ofir, Portugal

4 Star Hotel situated at Ofir, Portugal. Excellent hotel, very good food and service from staff. Buffet meals allow you to select what and how much you want. Reasonable recreational facilities but not much for children - so no shouting, screaming small kids. Quite outstanding beaches, very gently shelving and miles and miles of open sands, very quiet, with some surfing. For siteseeing travel to Esposende, Viana do Castelo or Povoa de Varzim by local bus, from Povoa to Porto via the excellent Metro tram service.

This video clip shows the rear of the hotel, restaurant on left, and pans down over the patio and bar area to the tennis courts and pool. Beach is literally a stone's throw over the left hand wall.
