Battlefield 3 - Guided shells + SOFLAM vs. Chopper

After getting fragged by a Havoc pilot, I requested that someone paint the bastard so that I could swat it with the tank. Unfortunately I didn't get the same pilot that killed me.

why doesn't that lasing target appear on the xbox?

I don't play on XBox, but I would assume that it is a bug. Just to be clear, you cannot lock onto aircraft with the guided shells unless someone else tags them with a laser (SOFLAM, or 3rd seat of tank). I was able to lock onto the heli because someone was using a SOFLAM.

Love when I can get a squad mate in the 3rd seat and we go helicopter swatting. The pilots don't have a chance.

they can pop chaff all they want but they cant escape the soflam when they are in range
