  • This entire 10/10 incredible.I thought i wasn't the only one who caught the the WTC was the Emerald City. And the Oz sign is really the Globe/Sphere recovered from the sight.I think they should a flashmob in new WTC plaza as tribute to the Wiz Cast and WTC/9-11 victims. That'll be since the 40th anniversery of the original building opening will be in 2013 along with 35th anniversary of The Wiz(Movie) that same year. P.S. Is that Patti Labelle in the gold scene.lol

  • I love this scene when I see Quincy Jones groovin on the piano.

  • Now talk about music from back in da day

  • @mspaula702 that is an incredibly ignorant comment to make. If you believe that you need to be over 40 to appreciate film and music from that time period you're an idiot with a narrow mind. To decree that only African Americans should watch it is ludicrous and in point: racist. I'm white, 27 and have not only loved this movie but movies dating back to the 1930's ( I.e The Wizard of Oz itself ). Appreciation for film and music is not bound race, age, or any other characteristic. Grow up.

  • @VeryMadGurl Not that I'm saying they are just to make that clear.

  • this the true definition of african american essence of theater.the dancing and singing is god like, i love the rythmn. the beat. the scene. the characters, their's no other way to explain soul.

  • @alease2 lmao YES!!! I used to be horrified of those things!!!!

  • @alease2 dude those bouncy things scared me too when i was lil and im 21 lol!

  • Oh no IM 22 AND I LOVE THE WIZ ALWAYS HAVE EVEN THOUGH WHEN I WAS YOUNGER THOSE BOUNCY THINGS USE TO SCARE ME LOL BUT I LOVE IT EVEN MORE AS I GREW UP

  • Seems like the majority of posters here are young. You gotta be at least 40 years old to appreciate this movie. This movie is a classic. It's an African-American version of the wizard of Oz. So if you're not African American, this movie probably ain't for you!!!
