I have finally soloed LK after months of attempts. Thank you to Raegwyn
for his answering my questions and both Raegwyn and Mione for their
small guides. I killed him on 12/1/11. This appears to be a world 9th
and a US 2nd. Enjoy!
I did this with a 375 ilvl, so an ilvl of around 372+ should be able to do it. You NEED to pull as much dps as you can (You need to pull around 22k the whole fight, but recount will say you are pulling more dps in p1 because heart strike is hitting adds). The glyph of death strike helps a lot. Build up 100 runic power during dps phases or when you don't need to heal too much and use death strike, rune strike, and heart strike as your rotation. Make sure to use DS at 100 RP and use RS to dump RP and to refresh runes. Only use Death runes on DS and not on heart strikes. I used glyph of vamp blood instead of blood boil since glyph of vamp blood increases my healing I do every min, so I use it for emergency situations. Also, make sure you are close to hit-capped (8%) and have a decent amount of exp (I had 17). For my buffs, I used a titanic str pot, Runescroll of Fortitude II, Drums of the Forgotten Kings, and dodge food. I used Rune of the Fallen Crusader as my weapon enchant.
It would behoove you to try and keep your diseases up on the target as much as possible WITHOUT using runes (outbreak) and then spreading them around via pestilence. Note: this guide is basically Raegwyn and Mione's, but I added a little more to them.
Phase 1:
This was a tough phase for me at first, but it eventually became easy. Every so often, LK casts infest. You need to be over 90% to make it go away, otherwise it kills you after around 15 seconds. If you are fairly far below 90%, pop cds to heal yourself up OR use anti-magic shell (AMS). You can only use AMS every other infest. To get nec plague, you have to be an engineer. Use the target dummy that you put on your belt when the LK casts infest immediately after summoning a shambling horror (the big adds). Since LK is targeting the dummy for a few seconds, you get nec plague. You can either heal through it or use a Purification Potion to get it off of you. I chose to heal through it since I may get nec plague randomly during p1. Try to keep the zombies stacked up so nec plague spreads to them and not you by running through LK and turning around. The goal is to enter p1.5 with as few adds as possible. When the last add is about to die from nec plague, use AMS or a Purif Pot to get it off of you. You can also chains of ice the add and run, but that would not be suggested.
Phase 1.5:
The goal here is to kill the raging spirits as fast as possible. Pop Dancing Rune Weapon and try to not only kill the add, but keep your HP up. 3 raging spirits spawn. I tanked them on the frozen throne stairs so I wouldn't get hit by remorseless winter and I wouldn't have to worry about the orbs throwing me off of the platform.
Phase 2:
LK runs back to you and casts infest. Make sure that you are above 90% or can heal yourself back up to 90% quickly as the raging spirits silence you. The valk'yrs he spawns do nothing, so don't worry about them. For defile, run out of it, but then run back in to help stack vengeance to up your dps. Watch your hp, vengeance amount (my max AP I noticed was around 35k so I never tried to take more damage than I needed to keep it at 35k). Keep healing yourself and doing dps to keep infest off of you. Once the spirit is down, you don't have to worry about infest as much, but be careful.
Phase 2.5:
This is the second most annoying of all the phases. 4 spirits spawn total. If you didn't use a Purif Pot in p1 or 1.5, use a golemblood pot to up your str and nuke the spirits. I had 2 spirits up when I went into p3. Tank the adds on the frozen throne stairs like p1.5.
Phase 3:
With the spirits still up, this phase is the HARDEST phase period. Kill both spirits ASAP as when the LK reaches you, he summons vile spirits. When you see him do that, run down the stairs to the platform and stand there, killing the spirits. Keep your hp up as high as possible. When you see the vile spirits start to fly down, pop AMS if you can, otherwise they do a LOT of damage and it's annoying to heal back up to full hp. You don't really want to stand in defile this phase unless you need to as the spirits should keep your vengeance up. I noticed that you can only AMS every other time, so be careful. Otherwise, nuke LK and just try to beat the enrage. With my gear, I had a few pieces of DPS gear and I beat the enrage by only 35 seconds, give or take. Good luck and have fun!

so loud

@nicksabeazt96 I usually keep my overall volume at around 50%, so when I edited it, it came out louder than it should have, especially if you have your volume up higher. Sorry about that.

@hentai343 I've soloed Marrowgar, but I had a lock out that was on LK and just kept for months. I once saved myself accidently to 5/12 a while ago (see 5-manning 25m Rotface :P), so I had to get a group to get back up to 11/12. I tried Deathwhisper a while ago as well as Saurfang, but I will probably have to try them again since my gear is better.
