Pay to be part of Mike's therapy session? Wow, can't believe how desperate people are to learn poker.....best way to learn is to play better players.....don't doubt Mike's got good deep field tournament strategies, just seems like that's all he's offering.
Is there a different course for CIA mind control tactics and ESP as a second language?
@HBDave Ah, that makes a lot of sense. Was this some sort of promotional free session for everyone? I'd be upset if I had paid and walk-ins were taking up all the time.
So would you say the course in general is worthwhile? Is it oriented toward the intermediate player? As in, someone who had read books, won small stakes tournies, etc? Someone who knows the terms and understands odds and bet sizing and whatnot? Or are beginners like our tattooed friend the target audience? Hope you enjoyed.
@magiciangob No lie...the dude was broke and walked in for free. I was there and talking to him on the patio before the start. In fact, he followed me to the gift shop and weasled me to buy him a $1 ice cream. I swear to god...true story. There were about 25 people there, but it was the first of four sessions on Saturday and Sunday. I heard the next one was almost sold out.
That tattoo guy in the nine seat - how do people who don't have even the most basic idea of tournament poker come up with the money to take these classes?
