The Little Mermaid in the deep end

2-8-10 My 2 1/2 year old little mermaid swimmin in the 8ft end of the pool. She is calm and confident swimmin on her own. In this video, we are practicing diving down to the bottom. Don't worry folks, I am always close by and usually right under her when she swims in the middle of the deep end.

@AndreaRox02 it's never too late to learn. Make it happen. Everyone should be able to swim in water over your head regardless of depth. It may save your life when you least expect it. :)

@cookiemonster235273 I'm not a professional swim instructor, but I will say that leading by example, positive reinforcement, repetition, and patience is key. If you do it, your kidz will do it too. notice how kidz mimick everything parents do from: body language, the things you say, etc... It will be no different with swimming. I have the advantage of being able to swim year round though.

I'm super proud of my daughter. We do everything together. She helps me with my push ups by laying on my back and counting for me. When I do pull ups, she runs over and wants to do them too. I'm so greatful to be her dada as she would say.
