Amazing work. I was curious to know how you keep your ribbon from soaking in the moisture/grease on the icing. The white ribbon that you had on the cake doesn't look soaked at all. I have a hard time keeping the ribbon from being soaked. I would appreciate if you could teach how?

Thank you for responding to my enquiry which was actually many many months ago. I still look at these videos as they are extremely good reference tutorials. It is a shame that there are no new ones, Elaine is an excellant tutor and I hope she has not moved on else where.

@madeitwithlove I'm not sure, but I think these videos are from the 80's.

Dear Elaine I have done exactly the way to say for the preperation of the Icing, one egg white for 1lb. of icing sugar. syphoned then mixed, little water, flooded my templet, let it dry for 2 days, but my icing is still slightly soft in the middle so when I try to remove it from the waxed paper it always breaks...this si my fourth try...please help...thanks
