This is a licensed clone of the Intellivision released in 1980 under the Telegames label. Pretty good system, worth checking out for retrogaming fans. Included is gameplay of New Atlantis by Imagic.

  • Does this mean I'm old that I remember this being sold in Sears? Great review.

  • @yuprulesing Thanks!

And no, you're not old. I remember these in the stores also (although I was like 5 years old at the time.)

  • It has 3 separate Fire or Action Buttons. The 2 top buttons are the same but the 2 bottom buttons are separate so you get 3 buttons, the 2 top are linked and the 2 bottom are indepent.

You can't use Genesis controllers because the Intellivision was a 16 position controller but Genesis and all Digital D Pad systems were only 8 position.

The Disc was not much different then a D Pad controller.

  • I love the SEARS models. I like this for the fact it has detachable controllers like the INTV2 and just looks different and not as common as common.

  • fun fact: the intellivison is the first 16 bit system. :o

  • Great Vid I just got this system and a Radio Shack Tandyvision from the Atari2600 website.

I love the look of the Sears system but only problem is the dark low quality paint on the top vents is smearing off also where it says Super Video Arcade which I removed the rest with a damp cloth.

This is not a big deal with me as I do customs.

As soon as I can Get a good Match in auto Paint I will restore it.

  • They had the stupidest ideas for controllers back then. Looks like a cordless phone. What's next, a TV remote?

    Wait a minute.

  • Intellivision-based Consoles used a 16bit CPU, although it ran at less than 1MHz. Also, competing consolesof the time also used 8bit technologies, just not very advanced compared to what we think of as '8bit' today.

  • @Yakumo1975 Thanks man.

  • I've never seen one of these systems before. thanks for the video. For it's age the graphics look pretty good. Far better than the 2600 from what I remember.
