  • how deep was the dand and how large was the stamatopod

  • The sand was about 25 cm deep and the mantis shrimp was 20 cm. He is still here and now over 25 cm big. I have this animal over 6 years.

  • damn.... i bet your tank is pretty big i wonder how much you spent on sand..... i got a peacock mantis shrimp its about 4 inches and hes in a 10 the sand 4 inches deep i got live rock and pvc he seems happy so far but soon ill be puting him in a 60 gallon with 8 inches of live sand and live rock and pvc , p.s are you a sciencetist

  • I`m not a scientist, but im very interested in mantis shrimps for over 7 years now.

    The zebra mantis tank ist a 54 Liter tank with a divider. One side is filled with many sand for the animal and the other side is with a normal sand bed for a other mantis shrimp.

  • i was wondering if you could tell me what type of mantis i have? it is moss green with rust colored feet and rust colored tips on its fins it also has purplish white on the ends of its raptorial limbs and it is a smasher type ps it has no stripes or spotted markings of any kind
