12 Writers. 12 Novels. 72 Hours.
On the Labour Day Long Weekend, BookTelevision and Chapters-Indigo dropped a dozen writers into the middle of Edmonton's biggest Chapters bookstore to face the 3-Day Novel Contest. Since 1977, thousands of participants have competed in this writing marathon, hoping to finish a book, score fame, and get published.
This year, there was something extra to strive for: television stardom and literary notoriety. The novelists braved the usual rigours of the contest as well as crowds, spelling bees, cameras, poets, and "The Thirteenth Machine," all the while eating, sleeping, and living in the bookstore.
Now, the experience comes to life as an 8-part series starting Feb 4th on BookTelevision.

lol, those must be pretty crappy books. The intro at the ending is funny, sorry but writers aren't like sports celebrities.
