This not only depends on the card, it also depends on the processor, memory and the HDD's performance ((de)fragmenting) too...the os and the drivers etc...

If you are a geforce fan, i think the 9600 gt is good for you or the Ati HD 4550, if you have agp port, you should buy a new pc ( new mainboards have very good integratd cards (HD3200), better then the geforce 6200, i know, because that was my vga before. And it's quite cheap. You can go to a local computer (part(s)) store and ask for help,
I'm sure, they can help you the most.

Can anyone recommend a graphics card for this? I can't go mad on price, at the moment i only have a GF6200 (slow i know) Just want something that will work reasonably well. Cheers if anyone can help

That's bullshit ! The HD3870x2 performs much better than this ! A friend have a HD3870x2 from ASUS and it's running GRID awesome at 1900x1080 with a E8400 at 4Ghz !
