(The original video got mangled by YT)

The study of solar mythology (astrotheology) indicates that saviour myths, including that of Jesus Christ, had their origin in the heavens. Ancient people looked up at the heavens, noted patterns and regular movements of the sun, moon and stars.

The height of the sun told them the time of day - the phases of the moon told them the time of the month - the position of the constellations in the night sky told them the time of the year - useful information if you want to know when to plant, when to harvest, when to hunt, when to feast, when to celebrate the re-birth of the sun in winter. They made up fables as a way of passing on their knowledge to future generations.

After thousands of years, these fables lost their original meanings and instead came to be believed as true accounts of the lives of past and present supernatural beings/gods. This was encouraged by the growing priesthood. More time passed and these stories began to be incorporated into their religious beliefs - sun gods, moon goddesses etc. Stories circulated about some of these 'sun gods' making themselves visible on earth - these were the suns/sons of gods. The rest I leave to your imagination...

NOTE: Slide reading Philippians 3:30 should read Philippians 3:20

NOTE: John the Baptist slide text is misleading. There is an explanation of what happened to John further on in the Book of Mark, although this does not affect our story. Thanks to those who pointed this out.

  • When I was first starting to truly doubt my religious faith, this was one of the first videos questioning it that I had the courage to watch. Today I am an atheist, and this video and the facts behind it certainly had a part in that.

It was because of this video that I began reading the works of Acharya S, and learning more about the true beginnings of religion.

  • Gulp! :)

  • I was of course talking about your original posting of this video, not the repost. I first saw this video about 2 1/2 years ago.

Just to make clear I wasn't implying that I changed my entire life outlook in 8 months.

  • Roger that! Thanks for subscribing.

  • I wish I knew the track she used for this video clip.

Anyway, thanks for re posting, it was beautiful.

  • It's interesting and important to note that despite the fact the Acharya S. An several others have written extensively, as well as shown videos (like this one) on the lack of credible evidence of the existence of Jesus Christ and Christianity, there are those who still discredit them. Many continue to hold steadfast to their belief in that religion, which is fine. Faith is strong belief without the lack of evidence. Many challenge her work, but noone has provided any real proof for Christianity.

  • religion of non abrahic origine foccuss more on personal devolepment and less threatening about hell and devils. seldom interested in forcing their way of living and more accommodating even the forcefull religion of abrahmic origin

  • @oker59

Here's a reference of hers that works but goes against her recent anti-science/pro god b.s.

    Psalms 84:11

  • i finaly found this; i was wondering where it went; although, it seems to me that the Gospels don't show the twins of gemini; this is a minor omission. The rest of the Gospels clearly follows the astrotheological story of the zodiac; that should say all you need to know.

  • @gofferaiw Wow, I love how you explained this!

  • @manofreason64 Atheism is NOT something to believe, but just a LACK OF BELIEF in deities

    (watch?v=_HNPFUoJvGA or watch?v=oE5EzuLARZ0 or watch?v=qs3RKZjSzYg).

Calculating the odds for "life by chance" is useless, since ABIOGENESIS and EVOLUTION are NOT chance-based, and offer the only existing EXPLANATIONS, layered on simple (and solid!) physics and chemistry.

Religions (and deism) offer only SKYHOOKS based on (unproven!) bogus entities which complexity requires a great amount of BLIND FAITH.

  • @ShadowOfTheWave dont become an atheist - become an agnostic. The possibility of a 'creator' still exists, it's just man's story that was debunked.

  • Faith can be many things... What we don't get is that faith is a strong believe on higher meaning of out existence no mater how it's represented through many different religions. Don't forget the bigger picture! The purpose of our existence through the universe and Time is to understand what all that represents. So if you forget that then we have lost our faith. And if we don't have faith in the quest for the truth; then our existence is nothing but a blip on the radar of time!

  • OMG-Ddesse, SUN!

    Greetings, from Germany.

Genius of summarized Truth, BEAUTY of Truth, even.

Thank you so much for showing!
