A pre-bankruptcy commercial earlier this decade when Kmart was trying to bring back the Blue Light. Needless to say, it was a flop.

It's a shame that a bunch of buffoons have ran this once great company into the ground. They should have seen the threat from Wal-Mart 20-25 years ago and acted on it. The three Kmarts nearest to me are gone.

I remember back in the 1980's when K-mart was in there heydays that people that went shoping at Sears where the dirt poor and K-mart where for the middel and upper class people.

Wal Mart expanded so rapidly with their large selection of cheap imported junk from China they they killed K Mart and took alot jobs from U.S.A. made items down the drane.

My grandpa took once took me and my brother to Kmart when I was 7 and he said he'd buy us anything we wanted from the toys dept. He passed away when I was 11. Good nostalgia at Kmart that's why I shop there, it's Americana-original. While Wal-Mart and Target have no unique qualities, Kmart is classic.

I was Bluelight Captain at Kmart in Dayton, Ohio. Had specials every hour on the hour for 15 minutes. Pretty awesome concept with the big blue orb pulsating and music coming out of the JBL Audio Speakers around the thing.. Quite a Sight.. Too bad it didnt last. Very much enjoyed it.

Its nice to see their is still dedicated shoppers with kmart. I work at a kmart in Columbus, Ohio. I agree what VFREECK said about sears running them into the ground. Sears is a dead weight, the kmart units are doing better and better. However sears units is not.
