Tchaikovsky loved this piece because he wrote an actual cannon into the score. The cannon was designed to fire into the audience near the end of the piece, causing bodies to fly all around the concert hall in a bloody mess. This pleased Tchaikovsky greatly. But nowadays they don't play it that like that anymore.
By the way, anyone know where I can find Swan Lake III: Return of the Jedi.?
