The Ideal Companion: A DVD Guide to Cat Breeds is an indispensable "visual guidebook," not just for prospective cat owners, but for cat lovers in general.

Produced in cooperation with North America's top breeders, this DVD provides insights into the history, temperament, sociability and life span of 20 different breeds of cats. It includes colorful charts that indicate brushing requirements and detail how active and vocal each breed tends to be, and a special section with valuable tips on what to look for when choosing a kitten.

  • I really wish that they would stop breeding the Peke face Persians and Himalayans. The original nose is more attractive and less prone to respiratory problems.

  • Persian+point colouring= beautiful himmy kitty

  • press fast 3 and look !

  • My Precious was a Himalayan and I believe she had some Siamese in her. She did must fine outdoors, which in light of what you said about Him's not fairing well makes me suppose all the more that she had Siamese in her too because she didn't take crap from any cat or dog. Poor pit bull pup, she gave it a bloody nose when all he wanted to do was play. Lol But she loved all people, she was a very loving companion, and everyone who knew her loved her. :* )

  • Our cat is a seal-point himmy, he had been abandoned by one of our neighbors. He's such a wonderful little guy!

  • shirobu! from tomomama3

  • @LittleMissAlleyCat I have two of those little guys at home and both of them are from shelters. Obviously, they weren't kittens anymore (2 and 4 years), but I love them so much. They're amazing cats :) But you need to feed them really good food or they'll get sick really easily.

  • Like these cats. Think Salty from Caroline in the City was one.

  • aaaawwww its so cuteeeeeeee with its tiny pawwwssss and its cute faceeee and its soooo short

  • @firebucky im not a breeder or anything, but even 1 kitten would cost from 400 to 2,000 dollars. but sometimes even purebreds end up in shelters. if i were you, i'd check the local animal shelter first, or look at the cat fancy magazine. speaking of wich, im getting a cat 2day!!! his name is simon 4 mothns old hes so cute! lol
