Why don't you turn down the music and narrate the process, I'm interested to know the steps...

This was very educational but at least we got to listen to 90's porno music.

Annotations on the video would be really helpful to students new to the process.
Unless I'm mistaken, the removal of the pattern prior to casting wasn't very clear.

@NigelHollioake Why dont you watch the fuckin video and then make up the steps ! Heat up the aluminium then make fill the basin with sand. the pattern is made from jelutong. The pattern is made from polystyrene foam. the pattern is sandwhiched between the the cope and the drag, the sand is a special oil bound sand. you then make two hole so you can pour the molten in, the holes are filled, then bops your teapot and let to cool.
CAN ANYONE give me information about WHAT TYPE OF SAND i can use? I tried to find "Petrabond" sand but hard to find it is...

sorry if i sound ignorant but what happens to the Styrofoam that was in there does it just dissolve from the heat? and what was that white powder you used, was it to prevent the 2 halves from sticking or something?

This type of casting does not use styrofoam -- you might Google "evaporative foam casting" or "lost foam casting" for the details of that process. This is "loose pattern sand casting." In this process, the pattern is removed after the sand is packed around it. The powder is parting compound - it keeps the pattern from sticking.
