It was amazing tht they got in the grand final 2yrs in a row with same team

Couldn't agree with you more

I think the majority will remember it as West Coast's year. Believe there were many quality players in the Eagles that year. I'll always be a swan, and it is natural for all supporters to debate the authenticity of a decision, a score, or a debatable situation. In the end, it was West Coast's year and the best choice now is moving on.
Cheers for the debate. Appreciate intelligent people!

its a real shame though that most people remember '06 as the year the druggies won the premiership

Fair Enough to you too. I do appreciate friendly debate and do believe there is a time for all supporters to get over a lost season. Although im not an Eagles fan, no doubt they probably had some of the best players in the AFL.
There is a new premier every year - what's important is how your premiership is remembered.
How is West Coast's premiership remembered? For Eagles fans with great pride - but for everyone else with doubt over whether rules were breached. Its a good debate!
-
fair enough, but you did say they didn't deserve the premiership
I don't really see how partying for 6 days is going to help you win a premiership, so they really do deserve it, no matter what might have been happening off field

Good Question - Show us any evidence that demonstrates salary cap infringement by the Swans. Never said W/Coast should give back premiership - however the main argument from Eagles supporters since 2006 is that drugs would have harmed their football effort, not helped it. This is rubbish. Take the Ben Cousins doc as an example - he was able to stay up and party for six days. Im not suggesting he took drugs before or on game day - but the fact is he shouldnt have been playing at all.

if west coast should give back their premiership for taking drugs (which lets be honest, probably make it harder to play at their best), then shouldn't the swans give theirs back for salary cap infringements??
just sayin.

This Season was Special. We were up against everything. The president of the AFL said we were nothing, and everyone else agreed. We must have been close to the bottom of the free kick count that season as well. That made the win extra sweet. West Coast won the next year but look at them now. Turned out they were drug cheats anyway and didn't deserve it. You other sides keep kicking it long and down the center. Ill stick with the swans so called boring style of play. We proved it works. Go Swans!
