For those who dont know this chopper checkpoint is only available after you finish the "G-Spotlight" mission as it would interfere with the course of the mission.

how do u unlock this mission? ive just unlocked the 2nd island recently but its not there

Well I managed to do it the first time I tried it on 2:19 and I bumped in to things and even managed to get some armor at my hide out plus some weapons there too and even managed to save even before you finnished the mission. I started up this video before I jumped into my chopper, we started almost at the same time but your vid was ahead of me with one second^^
