The slowmo is badly done...it makes it just look like bad lag.

@chikeetabanana Actually, rope darts don't pierce either; they're not sharpened. Could you imagine, after all that maneuvering, stabbing your target and getting the tiny dart stuck? The velocity and accuracy are enough to deal hard damage with only the smooth dart tip. I've seen this scene before trying to figure out if it's dart or hammer, but either seems accurate, yet off. Then again, this is Jackie Chan with a makeshift weapon; I'm sure it's both styles at the same time.

This would actually be considered an improvised meteor hammer, not a rope dart, because it is bludgeoning, not piercing.
