G'day Fred. The two things I'd be checking if I was prospecting that area,(if I didn't know if there was gold in the area),would be the presence of mineralised quartz. That is,quartz with lots of colored veins or areas in it such as yellows, reds, purples, etc. The richer the color the more mineralised, the better.Secondly I'd crevice the most likely looking unworked crevice you could find in that there creek and pan it very carefully with the aim of finding even the faintest hints of gold.Cheers rev.
