Metallica perform "The Four Horsemen" off of their 1983 debut album "Kill 'em All" with Armored Saint and ex-Anthrax singer John Bush who was supposed to sing for Metallica, when James still weren't sure of his singing abilities. Recorded live @ The Fillmore in San Francisco, California on December 7th, 2011 (the second of four Metallica 30th birthday concerts).

Great performance. I loved it!

John's voice is so much more powerful than James' and he's a lot better singer as well but he doesn't have the same stage presence as James and I think that would have hurt Metallica in the end... but just listen to how good John sounds here... it would be something to hear a Metallica record with him singing that's for sure.

@Mohawkdudethrasher cause dave didnt play it this way, it wasnt "the four horsemen" until after Dave. He wrote it as "the mechanix"

To think Metallica wanted to hire him to sing after Kill Em All so James could stick to guitar. I guess this is a preview of how they would've sounded with John.
