I wanted Joey and Dawson to end up together... but well, can't change the endigs. But Im happy to know that they ended being friends forever

@highlyacclaimed Please.. The PJ fans are/were all places... You are so wrong about that..
-
@highlyacclaimed "Sometimes we need to be apart to understand just how much we truly love each other." - from the mouth of Nicholas Sparks, man who wrote one of the most amazing love stories. That's why you watch your true love date your roomate for over a year.

@highlyacclaimed Are you serious? I've been watching this show since I was 7. I'm 18 now. And I'm a Joey/Pacey fan. I can never get enough of their scenes and seeing them ending up together. You do not even know how much those two restored my faith in love when something went wrong in my life, so your theory is 100% incorrect, because I know a whole bunch of people who are PJ fans and still are obsessed with the show.

I love this show, always loved it, but my heart would never be in place if Joey and Pacey didn't end up together. Like Kevin said, your soulmate doesn't have to mean the person you're meant to be with. I think Joey loved Dawson in this special way.. you know, brotherly way, but as all teens, she was confused. Even if they never hear from each other again, they'll remember each other with a smile on their faces. But Joey and Pacey.. he's her true love, and she's his.

This debate will go on forever. Fact is, its about viewers and money. By S2, most viewers hated Dawson, he was a whiny, self centred douchebag. Also, viewers responded to the unbelievable chemistry that Josh and Katie had on screen. It made for a far more convincing couple. Hence the change from DJ to PJ.

ohmygod every comment on this page is SO IMMATURE. why don't all of you go and listen to the finale commentary.

Kevin Williamson is absolutely right...your soulmate has not to be your husband or your wife....but still: Dawson and Joey should have ended up together.

@nothlithawk777 You said it.. Unfortunately the ones who will continue to love this show, is the Dawson/Joey fans. The fickle fan girls that love Pacey and Joey will just go where the wind blows and cheer the next witty banter couple.

@tatimcb True love? Would you watch True Love date your roomate/first real girlfriend for over a year? It's not true love.. LaZy comformative writing is all.
good answer to the soulmate question cause D&J were so special but imo P&J were the romantic true love/meant to be. ANd his answer ties into the finale where Jack tells Jen she is his soulmate which I believe is true in a non romantic way.
