  • @thor7600 Ya this definitely has a look and feel similar to Aikido. Nice observation.

  • Nice technique, seen it in many styles.

Im a student in Hung Gar and Pencak Silat Setia Hati .

Dont think al eastern fighting arts originate from China.

China had and has much influence in fighting arts but so has India (like in religion)

In Sumatran fighting arts you have the leg slapping similar to Indian wrestling.

Al styles are partly original and influenced by other styles.

Thats warfare you find way's to counter your enemys fighting and sometimes you copy there techniques in order to win.

  • well actually aikido came from this.

  • The techniques in mantis should appear in other styles. Mantis is old kung fu, and kung fu is the mother fist of East Asia. All other martial arts in that region of the world draw atleast some inspiration from kung fu. Throughout history, people from one style of kung fu have contributed directly to other styles. The problem with videos like this, is that the fundamentals are presupposed. Who has the patience to make fundamental videos in a serial pattern?

  • this is a good ass technique ive had it done to me so much lol

  • This is basically an ikkiyo from aikido, the first move you learn. Cool.

  • that is a realy good technique

  • That's funny. Well you could crush the skull, but then you might have to explain the situation to the police. A palm strike to the side of the head (above the ear or you might blow out his eardrum) with enough force to cause the brain to bounce back and forth in the skull, is a knock out. Then you just walk away.

  • Stomp on his head...

  • I think that this sort of looks like a White Crane block. That's a closing block. I might have simultaniously punched him in the head with a choice of some 10 fist positions, and a variety of targets. OK, so you got him on the ground. Then what? I think that you would have to knock him out (concusion), or go through another escalated bout.
