The EBS message none of us wanted to hear during the Cold War. The Tony Christie show gets interrupted for an Emergency Action Notification: America is under attack, and the Emergency Broadcast System is taking over the airwaves.
THis script is somewhat vaugue, as it doesn't mention the area in question. Not only that, it's too long. You have four minutes to take cover, so the warning message should be as little as thirty seconds long.
I've heard this EAN recording on another youtube video. The uploader claimed it was legit. If that's true, the recording would have, in theory, been broadcasted on assigned stations, possibly followed by a "This station will now leave the air" announcement from the DJ, had an attack ever happened. But I say 'in theory' because of the 1971 False Alarm, in which most stations actually ignored the alert!
