  • Very cool and beautiful video!

My dad used to work as a foreign aid worker, so i spend some awesome childhood and teen years in bamako, mali from 1999 to 2003. I totally admire the firendly and positive attitude of malians despite living under difficult circumstances.

This vid and the music is great. Brought back sooo many memories! 5 Stars :)

  • From Somali guy: Great video. I really liked it!

  • Very good !

  • There was a report by an organization of city mayors that said Bamako is the fastest growing city in Africa and the 6th fastest growing city in the world! I can't recall the link, but you will able to find it in google city mayors. Thanks for the video anyway!

  • yeah it's him

    Name:allah uya

    Album: niafke

I have 6 or 7 CDs of music from Mali and find myself listening to this one most often. While I love them all --- the combination of musicians: Ali Farka Toure and Ry Cooder is unbeatable. Track #1 "Bonde" sung in Peul begins with a fantastic guitar introduction by Ali Farka Toure. Each note is drawn out just right to hook the emotions.

  • Does anyone know the name of the track used? Pretty sure it's Ali Farka Touré.

  • I too was in Bamako, just returned a few days ago, and also humbled me. Great, freindly people, just under educated,no medical resources. Its appaulling to me to see how there goverment has failed them.

  • Thank you for your fidelity full clip.I ve been on Bamako last year and I was deeply touched by african reality.Hope I will be albe to help them one day.First step education and health. But without a open mind political class will not be possible.A romanian friend.

  • Beautiful work! I'm proud of you Amenah!
