No kidding. I really thought they would sit in place and just start rolling back down the steep grade into the Pacific. Once on the Maui downhill I saw a convertible loaded with islanders who came into a rest stop with their brakes smoking. I asked them if they had geared down. The said "hell no . . . we coasted down. Go figure. Bob
