  • Had this been lake ontairio It would of been bad ruffer waves and not much coast gaurd or ferries to save them

  • If it weren't for the Ferry Pilots who were there on scene first most of these people may have been in the water before the emergency services even responded to the job! So just get to the point and say if it werent for those ferry pilots these people would not have survived the cold waters!

  • just a question... why was there THE 2 towers in the background... maybe i am wrong?

  • THIS is why we THANK our Coast Guard members! GREAT job! These people are incredibly lucky that it wasn't worse than this. What is with all the planes coming down lately?

  • Excellent job. Thanks for your service to rescue.

  • Semper Paratus

  • Good job dude... I hope your crew all get CG Commendation Medals

  • Great Job this is what being Semper Paratus is all about

  • This was the best place for water landing. Hudson near Manhattan is always filled with a bunch of boats. Summer or winter.

  • NY Waterways rescued almost all the people, because they had boats nearby.
