  • The trumpet playing is wavers quite a bit, but it made me think about how the grandson is the one performing the piece, chances are they were doing their best to hold back their emotions to play the song but you can really feel the mourning in the song, making it like the most effective and honorable way to respect them.

  • @z0diak1990 That was possibly the most difficult performance of my life. I had the chance to tell my grandfather that I would play Taps for him at his funeral, and I'll never forget the look of gratitude in his eyes.

  • what is the tittle of the song ?

  • @laranjo123 This song is called "Taps"

  • 21 gun sloute taps and flag folding they didn't do that

  • @TheRobert2254 -- The 21 Gun Salute is generally reserved for members who die while on active duty, or those who serve at least 20 years and retire.

My grandfather separated from the US Army after a few years of service, hence the smaller honor guard detail and no gun salute. :)

  • A soldier is at the Gates of Heaven. He confesses to the Lord, "Lord, I've sinned. I've had to kill people. I've said Your name in vain. I've also had to work most Sundays. If You can name it, I've done it!" The Lord looked upon the soldier, and he said, "The wage of sin is death. You have paid it in FULL. Plus, you've already spent your time in Hell!"

  • my grandfather was a decorated ww2 vet...survived that and cancer took his life some 60 years later, isnt life a mystery

  • When was this and who died?

  • before my grandpa died, he told me that he wanted me to play this song for him at his funeral. he was in the army during world war II.

  • @sozo44 when they hand the flag over is def the hardest and saddest part.....its almost feels like at that exact moment you lose them all over again.

  • whoever the 8 dislikes for this are u'd better have good reason, but if you are simply dishonoring this video and the service performed you should not be on this video at all and have no respect.
