Mosque of the Prophet (PBUH) المسجد النبوى

The Mosque of the Prophet ( Arabic: المسجد النبوی ) in Medina, is the second holiest mosque in Islam. It is the final resting place of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Masjid al-Haram in Mecca is the holiest mosque; the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem is the third holiest in Islam.

The original mosque was built by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Subsequent Islamic rulers greatly expanded and decorated it. The most important feature of the site is the green dome over the center of the mosque, where the tomb of Prophet Muhammad is located. Constructed in 1817 and painted green in 1839, it is known as the Dome of the Prophet. Early Muslim leaders Abu Bakr and Umar (Umar ibn al-Khattab) are buried in an adjacent area in the mosque .

 The prophet(SalAllahu 'Alayhi was-salam) said that there will be people who consider musical instruments as halal. Even the voice if used for singing is an instrument. Abi Bakr walked in on 'id and heard the girls singing and said "Musical instruments of shaytan..." The prophet said "Leave them" because of 'id. He(Peace be upon him) did not refute the claim that the voice is a musical instrument, did he?
