60019 Bittern as 4492 Dominion of New Zealand on the Dorset Coast Express at Dean 26/07/2011

On the Dorset Coast Express 60019 Bittern as 4492 Dominion of New Zealand takes the express from London to Weymouth usunally there is another steam loco running from Weymouth to London with a steam banker however the normal locos 34067 Tangmere and 70000 Britannia is not avavbile to run this train as 34067 is at the north taking the duties of other locos under repair and 70000 Britannia can't go back to london as it is hauling the Cathedrals Express starts from Salisbury more info coming soon in the next few days. 4492 Dominion of New Zealand (60019 Bittern) took the train to Weymouth then an 37 WCRC took the train back as far as Southampton then 4492 took the train back to London via Laverstock and Andover. I saw 4492 at Dean. About 15mins late 4492 speeds around the corner, then 3 blast whistles appoach the station, Built for all day fast running 4492 speeds though Dean. A lovey place at Dean good spot for me to see future videos from this location. My first visit at Dean. And this clip is my best filming ever i have done. Also a fox and a squirrel came into view as well

Great Footage there. I was on that tour. Unfortunatly I was doing heads out on the otherside! But we bombed it from Redbridge all the was up to Basingstoke, It was awesome!

This certainly is a cracking telephone clip which gives a real sense of speed and the long telephoto setting gives the initial impression that DNZ is only pulling it's support coach! Were you on full telephoto? The fox seemed to be in no hurry to get off the track! Thnaks for sharing it. Ken
