Chris Kontos scored 9 goals in 11 playoff games in the 88/89 Stanley Cup Playoffs. His record 6 power play goals in 1 series still stands. Kontos scored 8 goals in the 7 game series in which the Kings came back from a 3-1 deficite and eventually won the series 4 games to 3 in dramatic Hollywood style.

Wrong. Kings got the last laugh in winning the Cup last year. The Oilers later lost all their good players and have been mediocre pretty much ever since. Now their future in Edmonton is now uncertain and it looks like they'll be moving to Seattle.

Oilers got the last laugh though...they won the cup in 1990 after whipping the Kings in 4 straight in the second round....also the kings never beat the OIlers in a playoff series after 1989.....
