sophie, i really appreciate your great green info, but you must live in an area that has a large organic farming community. (california?) because there is NO way i would save by buying organic here in southern ontario, canada. trust me...i used to try to buy organic, and now i try to focus on local food first. if i can get organic local, all the better, but anything imported is way more, and the carbon used to ship it discounts what i'm benefiting in organic food.
You can also join an organic co op that's in your area; they're wonderful money savers, you get organic produce that's locally grown, and you meet fantastic people.
@jukejointjezebelz I'm experiencing the same here in Norway. Sometimes the organic stuff is triple the cost of conventional
