just a lil test with my Canon GL2...
and a lil bit of editing with iMovie.

But i want to get the Panasonic HDC-TM700... it has full blown HD and facial recognition/tracking. But what i REALLY like about it is that it can record at 60P(way better than 60i(Interlaced).

  • canon gl2 will upload directly onto imovie correct?

  • yup! there should be a "Capture"/"Import from Camera" option on iMovie.

  • @AndDenDeyCalledMeTim and is this the same for the GL1?because that is what im getting now...

  • @broadcastSK8 i think it would be the same for the GL1... i don't see why it wouldn't be.

Before you get the GL1 though, check out the new Panasonic HDC-TM700... it's about $1,000, but the quality is HD and it has really nice picture quality. Plus it has a Manual Zoom and Focus ring on it, which is something many other handheld camcorders don't have.

  • @AndDenDeyCalledMeTim Hey on my mac i do not see a place for the fire wire cable???

  • @broadcastSK8 Oooh... well i know alot of PC's don't have firewire ports, but unless you have like a MacBook Air or something it should have one.

Idk what to tell you.. :[

  • Firewire Cards can be instaled, but you MUST check compatibility first,BELKIN F5U504 works for Windows 7,Windows 7 Sux!m in my OP.

  • @broadcastSK8 If it has a express card slot then you just need to buy a firewire express card.

  • @AndDenDeyCalledMeTim ok cool because the JVC i have now does it , and it's pretty good quality. i was just wondering about the gl2.

  • Actuallyyyyyyyyyyy, i've been trying to figure that out myself... i think this video was uploaded simply in the ".dv" format. I've tried the "MP4" format, but i don't think it did as well. One thing that helps is to raise the Sharpness & Contrast... it gives a lil more Lifely kind of look.
