Thee Oh Sees at the Great American for the Coalition On Homeless benefit.
This was shot up on the balcony with a Flip UltraHD, a unique perspective of thee group and the first few rows of concert-goers, and illustrates if this band is in your town, RUN, not walk, to go see them, this film really does NO JUSTICE to how brilliant Thee Oh Sees are in the flesh, and proves they can rock larger venues just as well as smaller ones.
The first few minutes are setup, so you can use the below guide if you want to skip to the songs:
Setlist
Crushed Grass (7:23)
Tidal Wave (10:45)
Contraption (13:55)
Meat Step Lively (20:29)
I Was Denied (22:57)
Enemy Destruct (27:02)
A Heavy Doktor (30:01)
Dead Energy (33:58)
Block Of Ice (38:25)
Crack In Your Eye (40:41)
The Dream (45:11)
Mega-Feast (57:55)
JPD highlights:
* The hat you see flying which hits him in the shoulder at 18:25 is mine! No idea, but Contraption is known to cause excessive mayhem. The hat (which was had Save KUSF on it) stays lying on stage until near the end but gets swiped before I could retrieve it. Oh well, it only cost me $5.
* At 18:51, JPD starts to worry about the condition of his shoes, as his soles are coming off...at 19:47 in between songs he seemingly tries to fix them (gaffer tape?) but then gives up.
* JPD hocks a large loogie and catches it in his mouth, and then flips the bird to the audience after they clap in approval. (22:53)
* JPD throws back a shoe that lands on stage. Maybe somebody was trying to "donate" a replacement? (32:39)
* JPD picks up his drink, chugs it, and kicks it back with his foot, all mid song. (32:53)
Other interesting bits:
* Brigid dedicates 'The Dream' for Leticia's birthday (44:44)
* IMMENSE Mike Shoun drum solo (52:09) which goes on for about three minutes.
Egg-cellent. Thank you for posting this.

I was at this show, it was amazing. Ty Segall and the Sic Alps were the openers. I think it was a 6$ show. I love living in San Francisco!!!
