@specsUK They said that Lumiére had a treat with the demon... Because of that, people never wanted to see any movie again. Later Nickelodeons (little teathers) were created, and moves of 30 minutes of duration were proyected. Between them, "L'Arrivé L'Homme á la Lune", one of the most expensive movies in old times.

OMG! I nearly wet myself when the train first appeared. Why can today's horror writers not come up with something as scary as this?

Time actually rated this as the greatest horror film of all time, just because people who saw this film back in 1896 ran out of the theatre because they believed the train was going to hit them. Though the countdown did have Bambi in the top 10 (Yes Disney's Bambi). So you know its messed up
