Lynn Shourds HEROWARE

Former Autotask Senior VP and Lenovo SMB channel leader Jay McBain chats with Lynn Shourds, President of HEROWARE. Lynn has been hearing a lot of good things about his business, he's been speaking with a lot of great VARs who are trying to find out what's been going on since their new release in April, where they're going with their new web portal, and Lynn states HEROWARE has a little surprise coming out in the next 5-8 weeks.

HEROWARE is a BDR solution, but instead of a back-up disaster recovery they are a replication; instead of backing-up or taking snapshots they replicate every transaction on a production server in real time to their appliance. Their appliance is all Microsoft based, so they're running hyper-record on their side, so they're protecting Windows servers to a Windows server core hyper V's, where those machines live as VHD's. HEROWARE has a new browser based portal where you can mange the entire process, get all your dashboard views, you're able to retrieve files and folders and fail over very easily from one location.

Lynn says it's all about the business continuity model, you still have the disaster recovery model out there just in case, but the clients has also been covered very nicely right there in their office.

Lynn's explains how the SMB Nation tribe has been the brunt of the first users of HEROWARE over the last couple years and he says Harry Brelsford has been very good to his business, along with Matt Makowicz, Chris Banks, and Jenny Hallmark.
