Ghost-writing
Approximately 75% of clinical trials published in The Lancet, the New England Journal
of Medicine and the Journal of the American Medical Association are industry funded. This
is only to be expected since drug companies conduct most drug research, but more
surprising was the claim by one witness that over 50% of articles appearing in these
journals may also be ghost-written. Ghost-writing is the process by which articles are
written by professional medical writers but appear under the name of independent
physicians or academics, who are paid as if they had written the article. When the ghostwriter
helps a busy doctor write up his research this is an acceptable practice. The key
question is whether and to what extent these authors designed and conducted the studies,
then independently analysed the original data and critically reviewed the article. It is clear
this is often not the case. This is of much concern, since such articles tend to be targeted at
prestigious journals; if published, they are cited more often than articles written by authors
not linked to the sponsoring drug company.

Hard to read but worth it. Big Pharma co's are no better than MAFIA. They hide info and if a doctor doesn't sign a positive report about a drug they simply scrap that report and pay another doctor who IS prepared to lie for money. This was done with Seroxat when the company that makes it hid the fact that it causes suicidal thoughts...and sometimes actions in young people. These people will do anything for money and are absolutely EVIL. Question everything and NEVER take a drug B4 u research it.

The human race is 100000 years old and has manage to grow before modern medecine evolved. The only valid reason for keeping Docors is so they can fix the problems they created.
