I just can't get enough of Croft as the Count and with Fleming this entire scene is PERFECTION. I saw them together in Cosi Fan Tutte and it was stunning, absolutely stunning. He's brilliant in Mozart, always!!

@nni9310 This was pretty much my experience too. I was, however, lucky enough to catch a production in Berlin a few years later which was also magnificent (from what I could tell from the back of the theatre). Seeing it live made me see what I'd earlier been told about Figaro, that physically the part is best played by a smaller, slighter man. He is, after all, supposed to be sort of crafty little weasel rather than the rugby player/bear that Bryn is. But Bryn's wonderful here anyway.

the acting in this rendition is absolutely outstanding, and the costume design is superb.

I saw this production on the national public broadcaster about ten years ago, the first opera I watched from start to end, because I found it entertaining.
I have seen several other productions of Figaro since, and still regard this as the best by far.
This production awoke my interest in opera.

Best version of Aprite, Presto, Aprite ever. I absolutely love this production. If it where ever on DVD I would buy it in a heartbeat.
