Canada's Greatest Know-it-all contestant Ben Eadie shows you how to avoid gluing your PVC projects together but instead using a simple pin to fix everything together

Gluing PVC together to keep a project together can be a pain in the butt some times. First its messy, second It makes for items that are too large or too clumbsy to move around. You can make most any PVC project without glue and have it 'stick' together using these easy to make re-usable pins.

    Dan,

I did use the clevis pins once but.... I make the pins for less than 1 cent each, for 9.99 I can make about 1000 of them. The metal pins wear out the plastic PVC and end up giving you sloppy joints and if you use a lot of them like I do the weight of the pins comes into question.

Thanks for pointing that out thought

I would be interested in the pins... if price is right. I would like to make a outdoor craft show clothes hanger and frame. When the when blews or if someone knocks into it, it can come apart. i was thinking doing scews, but that time consuming to screw all nuts in place. This looks simple and fast. Please contac me. Thanks.

My family and I were so upset when you lost against Owen last episode!! We thought that after three elimination challenges you deserved to go through. Also those little pins are really helpful and I would definitely buy some.

None taken. I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in it. I see most are not so no biggie. Just a question.

Good vid Ben. Thanks. I don't think I would buy the pins, since I am a maker like you I would prefer to make my own. (nothing personal!)

Harbor Freight Tools sells 74 Clevis Pins (just like what he is making) for $9.99... I don't think the plastic ones will be superior to metal ones. Nice video though.
