I use the lob return in doubles a lot... since I can lob it about 50-75 feet up and in 99.9% of the time, I can nail almost any point.. they can either rip it or lob it back.. If they rip it, the net guy takes it away, or I'm down back, and I pump another lob at 'em.. Also, it doesn't take very much energy to lob it. It's nice for those long matches, and when you need to tire your opponent out.
