This originally aired the day after Thanksgiving, on November 25, 1960. It was Ed's last documentary for "CBS REPORTS"- he left CBS two months later, for a position at the U.S. Information Agency. Ironically, nothing was really done about the migrant situation for the rest of the decade...and sadly, it's basically the same today.
