Ask Your Doctor- Dust (Original Song)

Here's the newest song that I've finished recording and mixing. I hope you like it; I'm doing my best to keep being creative.

The lyrics are a bit of an experiment. I decided to try a bit of historical fiction, like something the Decemberists would do. They're about returning to Hiroshima or Nagasaki shortly after the atomic bomb was dropped.

The solo is also an experiment. It didn't feel complete, and then I had the idea to add that. Please tell me what you think- is it too weird/jarring? I feel like it might be at first, but you can get used to it.

Turned everything I had worked for into dust, they just turned it into dust

They were just playing chess here in the park
but just the pieces remain and it's all gone dark
and a man half alive is groaning on the road
his dark shirt melted to his back, how he moans
and I think of all the pilots of those big silver birds
their orders to them were nothing but words
and I wonder if they'll fear their own bomb as we do
the one that turns love and life and hard work into DUST.

Hey! I'm liking this song! There isn't enough swing/8-bit music out there XD If ya want, you should check out my lone crappy video of a song I wrote.
