  • When my Tascam is connected to Sonar, for my channel it gives the option of 'non' or 'tascam (1 in, 1 out)', but doesn't allow me to click on this. any help?

  • @TicTacJoe95

My first thought is that you are using a wrong driver mode. See more about driver modes in "Sonar First Time Set Up"

  • Hello, I just connected a tascam us-800 and a Yamaha Audiogram. This morning I could not hear anything. I found out that the main output was coming through the tascam while my headphones were coming out of the Audiogram. How do I get the main output to select the Audiogram? Am I doomed to go to each track and select it in the audio properties? Or is there some way that I can select the Audiogram as the main output without disabling it in the Options? I want to be able to switch between the two.

  • @gamhazell

    Hi

In Sonar go to Options / Audio / Drivers.

Deselect the ones you don't want and leave only the AUDIOGRAM selected for output :)

    Good luck

  • hi, since yesterday i haven't been able to record anything, i setup the input but the meter doesn't show any level. i've tried this with a mic and a guitar before and i had no problems, but now it wont work and also the button where you arm to record now is green and instead of displaying "R" it says "RD" what can i do?

  • @Alexander1208 This makes me think something happened yesterday; but what ?

Sounds very much like a wrong driver mode to me. See my video "Sonar First Time Set Up" for more about driver modes.

Also be sure you are using the latest drivers for your sound card or audio interface.

    I hope this helps

    Good luck

First, be sure you are using the right driver mode. See more about this in "Sonar First Time Set Up"

Next, see my video called "Sonar Soft Synths - Basic Setup"

    I hope this helps

  • HELP! I have Sonar 3 Producers Edition. How do I listen to my synth? Audio 1 Audio 2 MIDI 1 MIDI 2 I select Track Properties Input is set at NONE I've gone through channels 1 through 5 and I don't hear anything. Bank is set at NONE I've selected insrtuments but still nothing. What am I doing wrong?
  • @royb1001

Hi - That sounds like a problem with your computer and /or the installation of sonar; more than just a sonar setting. If you click on a sample and get "no sound" this indicates a wrong driver mode. But the other things you describe indicates a need for re-installing the software.

I don't know if your computer is not strong enough to run SONAR, or perhaps you just need driver updates. Be sure you have all program updates as well as the latest drivers for your hardware.

    Good luck
