Its a tune and a half, and I hope I've done it justice. The intro is added from another recording. The crazy percussion bit in the middle I think could have been better. Try to ignore the guitar faces lol!!!!

  • haha the mid percussion part was well done! ^_^ haha dont trip!

    great job by the way!!!

im currently working on this one & i have a problem, its hard for me to pick the harmonics with my thumb in the beginning & im trying to do it with my index & mid finger, is it possible or should i just go with the thumb?

cuz your vid makes me want to give the thumb another shot haha, very well done!

  • cheers man!!

yeah it is possible to use the mid and index, i think thats the best way to do it cus it frees up the thumb for playing bass notes when needed, but i struggle that way as well so just use the thumb untill i can to it well enough with themid n index.

  • very nice cover! what's the tuning? what kind of material did you use for the scratch pad?

  • sorry for the late reply dude. The tuning is CGDCBbD and the scratchplate is made of plastic.

  • the intro is Antoine Dufour piece, right?

You certainly did this justice. This is one of my favourites off the desert pirate album too. Nice ending XD

  • Hahaha cheers man. the intro I play is the same intro in Quiksilver, i just took that bit from a different recording cus it was better. Think some of antoine dufours songs use that wierd harmonic technique though.?

  • Wonderful cover! The best guitar players in the world make "guitar faces" LOL! Watch Steve Vai dude, that guy gets downright ugly sometimes but plays like and angel. I really want to learn this song but I want to know if the G is really tuned all the way down to C? It sounds like it just stays at "G".

  • home made scratch plate for parts of the percussion.

  • whats that thing taped... improvised pick guard?

  • Safe as houses mate cheers!
